Opa's birthday

Today me and Mama met Opa and Grandma for breakfast to celebrate Opa's birthday. 

After we finished, I went home with Grandma and Opa and spent the day with them. 

Aunt Stacey came over later and we got to hang out too!

Back in time

Can you believe Mama didn't take one single picture of me today?!  She took a whole bunch of videos, but I can't seem to get them posted.  So here's an oldie but a goodie (and by oldie, I mean, like, a week ago.  Give me a break...I'm only 2 months old!).

I was making music on my motion-sensored play mat the other day while Mama finished up some things in the kitchen.  When it got silent for a few minutes, she came to check on me and this is what she found:

I thought I got away with it because when she came to get me in the morning, I was right-side up again, but you can't fight the evidence.

Last night I wiggle-wormed all the way around until my head was facing the other way. :-)

Just another day

Mama and I hit the town this morning to run some errands.  I've moved up into my 3-month clothes already, so it's like having a new wardrobe!  Don't I look super cute in my hoodie?

When we got home, Mama had some work to do, but she took a break so I could snuggle up with her for a nap.

Two-month checkup

Today I went to the doctor for my two-month checkup.  I weigh 10lbs 14oz, which is over 4lbs more than when I was born, and I've grown by 3.5" making me 23.25" long!  Everything checked out well and I'm as healthy as can be.

That was the fun part.

Next came the shots.  Mama warned me, but I still wasn't quite prepared.  The doctor was fast, though, and it was over quick enough.  You didn't hear it from me, but Mama cried harder than I did.  We both survived, and all it took was a little TLC and a nap to make me feel better. 

Busy day

Mama and I got up early today to meet Auntie Amy and Lucas at Peters Canyon for a nature walk/hike.  It was pretty warm out, but I stayed snuggled against Mama in the Moby wrap and slept through the whole thing.  Afterward we went to a little park up the street so Lucas could play on the playground.  I'm not quite big enough yet, so me and Mama sat on the bench and watched.

After leaving the park, running some errands with Mama, and stopping by Grandma and Opa's house to say hi, we headed over to Aunt Stacey's and made a trip to Disneyland.

Pinocchio, Snow White, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Casey Jr., and Alice in Wonderland.  I was so fascinated with all the lights and fun characters on the rides that I don't think I blinked through any of them.  You can see how tired I was at the end of the night...

I was so worn out, I let Mama sleep till 5:00am this morning!  (Sounds early, but, believe me, that's sleeping in these days).  Can't wait to go back for more!!

FaceTime with Aunt Stacey

Today I got to FaceTime with Aunt Stacey.  I gave her a couple smiles to hold her over until tomorrow when we get to go to Disneyland together.  I love being able to spend "face-to-face" time with family and friends when they can't be right here with me!

Two months!

Today is my 2 month birthday!

As a special treat, I got to spend the day with Grandma and Opa.  We had lots of fun napping, watching the pretty lights on the ceiling, and just hanging out.

It seems like almost every day is filled with chores, errands, doctor appointments, or other things that keep us pretty busy.  But we always try to carve out some time to just hang out together.

Papa's there too, but someone had to take the picture.  :-)

Just a little chitchat

I'm getting kinda bored with the whole crying thing all the time, so I decided to start adding some sounds to my repertoire.  Here's a little snippet of me "talking" and playing on my jungle play mat.

Diapies

Today was a big day for me and Mama!  While I was in Mama's belly, she started a collection of cloth diapies (read: diapers).  Since I'm so tiny, she wasn't sure if they'd hold in the mess until I got a little bigger.  Well, I've been growing like a weed, so today, with a little hesitation, she snapped me up in a bumGenius 4.0 and hoped for the best.  Isn't it cute?!

Success!  There were no leaks, and I didn't mind wearing it at all.  Mama hasn't quite figured out the cleaning process yet -- that did get a little messy -- but with some practice, she'll have that part down in no time!

My Baptism

Today was a very special day for me.  Twenty of our friends and family gathered together at Christ Lutheran Church in Brea for my baptism.

Mama and Aunt Stacey were baptized there as little girls, and Grandma and Opa have been attending services there for many, many years.

I wore a beautiful traditional baptismal gown handmade by Grandma Susan

and a personalized bracelet made of real pearls, crystals, and three charms -- my initial "E," a cross, and my birthstone -- given to me by Grandma Geeps and Poppa Danny.

What a wonderful day!

Visitors!

Grandma Geeps and Poppa Danny arrived today from Texas.  I was so excited to meet them for the first time!  We had a fun day of getting to know each other and I got lots of love from both of them.  I can't wait until they live closer and I get to see them anytime I want!
